During the summer 2019, from july 12 to 28, Doug Aitken will send in the sky of Massachussetts a giant mirrored flying balloon. The project is baptised “New Horizon” and it will be presented across some of the most iconic properties of the trustees — America’s first preservation and conservation organization — as a part of a programme of valorisation of local landscape and art. “New Horizon” is the last project of the famous film-maker and artist Doug Aitken and it will also include a series of live events centered around a mirror-surfaced hot air balloon and gondola that vividly contrasts with New England’s natural settings.
