After New York City, it’s Europe, that Texan photographer and director Derek Beck has explored. In the manner of a documentary, his ongoing series “Walk_“, (started in 2016), offers to see different countries such as Italy, Spain, France, Austria or Germany. To see, of course, but also to hear! During his walks, street, and environment, then, become protagonists and Derek offers a dive into the atmosphere that he could experience. A multimedia sensory discovery to understand the photographs differently. In his book published in January 2019, each photograph is accompanied by his audio file, available by visiting the dedicated website. Derek is not ready to stop walking as the Houston Art Alliance has given him a hint to continue the series this summer in Texas and Mexico.
