
A FEW minutes of light exercise during the day can help older people, especially men, live longer, scientists have found. Activities such as gentle gardening or taking the dog for a walk aid longevity, researchers say. They discovered that clocking up just half an hour of any level of physical activity was linked to a 17 per cent less death risk in the elderly.
